Katie R. Donnelly is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice based in Washington, DC. Ms. Donnelly has nine years of experience in investigations.  During her time at FTI Consulting, she has worked on several high-profile engagements.

Ms. Donnelly was a key member of the FTI Consulting team that provided investigative and litigation support to the Trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities. During this engagement, Ms. Donnelly’s primary focus was developing intricate fact patterns to provide detailed analysis and descriptions of key information to the client. Her investigative work directly contributed to the largest single forfeiture in U.S. history, and was used to compensate victims of Madoff’s fraud.

Additionally, Ms. Donnelly served as a project manager on several engagements on behalf of the United States Department of Defense.  In these engagements, Ms. Donnelly was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the overall projects, including several outside subject matter experts.  Her roles included performing research and analysis, ensuring project efficiency, conducting interviews, coordinating and presenting results, participating in briefings to DoD officials and the production of final reports.

Ms. Donnelly also had a leadership role in an investigation for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in connection with an ongoing regulatory inquiry from FINRA and the CBOE into reporting data related to derivative trading and system evaluation and testing. She was also part of Perrigo’s defense team against Mylan in which the investigative findings were repeatedly featured in the Wall Street Journal related to uncovering that Mylan’s Lead “Independent” Director violated NASDAQ and SEC rules warranting that designation. In addition, Ms. Donnelly has performed research, review of testimony and data analytics necessary for several expert reports.

Ms. Donnelly graduated from Bates College with a B.S. in mathematics and a minor in economics. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
