Pablo López-Alvarez is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice based in Brussels. Mr. López-Alvarez specializes in EU policy and Public Affairs advice. For the last 15 years Mr. López-Alvarez has helped numerous multinationals, trade associations, governments and NGOs to seize the business opportunities and to address the threats arising from regulatory and political developments.

Mr. López-Alvarez’s expertise covers all aspects of EU policies and processes, with a special focus on internal market, trade, competition and security. Notably he led the US high-tech industry’s efforts to put cybersecurity on the EU political agenda. Prior to joining FTI in 2005, Mr. López-Alvarez was an in-house corporate lawyer in Spain, headed the EU office of one of the leading Spanish foundations and co-founded and managed a Brussels-based PA consultancy. Since 2003 he is an alternate member of the European Economic and Social Committee, the EU’s main consultative body, and since 2010 he is Vice President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg.
